SCHOOL-AGE PROGRAMS
Sports Camps...
The YMCA will host youth sports camps in cooperation with area coaches in the following sports: Basketball, gymnastics, soccer and racquetball. For a week of fun and learning sign your child up this summer.
Thrush Summer Tennis... Is your son or daughter a tennis star of tomorrow? Find out by enrolling him/her in the YMCA Summer Tennis Program. Every year we teach over 300 kids of all skill levels how to improve their skills and enjoy the game more. If they bring tennis shoes and a racquet, we'll provide everything else. We have classes from the Mighty Mites (ages 4-8) through adults. Also, ball machines, balls and an instructor are available every afternoon Monday through Friday. There are four lighted courts available for evening play.
Youth Racquetball Lessons...
Your kids will thank you tomorrow if you sign them up for racquetball lessons today. Our qualified instructor will teach correct technique, how to score and how to have a lot of fun. Lensed eyewear, designed for racquet sports, is required on the racquetball courts and is available at the front desk. Court shoes that have not been worn outside must be worn to play racquetball. All children under the age of High School must understand the rules of the game before reserving a court. They may reserve courts before 5:30 p.m.
Good News Club...This club meets on Thursdays during the school year. The Bible stories are given on a flannelgraph board, with fun activities and songs as well. Prizes are an incentive to learn memory verses. This program is a wonderful way to learn Biblical truths and how to put them into action.
