Rules of Engagement |

Ț It is highly recommended that you check with a physician before starting this or any exercise program. Ț Teams will consist of four people. Ț The contest lasts for six months. (The Y will provide Y member teams with a personal trainer weekly the first 90 days and monthly the last 90 days. Other teams must recruit their own personal trainer or leader.) Ț Winners will be based on % of weight lost. Ț There will be three divisions. Your division will be based upon the person who needs to lose the most weight. This will be based on height/weight charts or body composition. · 20 lbs. or less to lose · 21-50 lbs. to lose · 51 lbs. or more to lose Ț Pregnant women may not participate. Ț Participants may only be on one team. Ț No stripping at weigh-ins. Ț Wear the same type of clothing when weighing in at the beginning and end. Ț No weighted objects for the initial weigh-in.

Registration and Weigh-in: May 1st - 6th · Team pictures will be taken at weigh-ins. · Fees must be paid at the time you register for the program. · Final weigh-in will be Saturday Nov. 4th with awards presented at that time. Teams may weigh-in for the final time from Nov. 1st - 4th.
Cost: $100/team · This includes $80 that goes to the prize fund.
· Cash prizes and levels will depend on the number of teams in that division.
· The other $20 will go towards monthly challenge prizes, marketing, and tracking the program. |

Food PyramidWhat Should I Be Eating? This will include meal planning and what should be included in those meals. |

Healthy Food Preparation This class will include healthy preparation of food for a lifetime of wellness. |

The Cardiovascular Benefits of Exercise and the Alternatives. We will discuss target heart rate and the basics of cardiovascular exercise. |

Grocery Shopping and Tips on Eating Out. How important is the food label? This will include a trip to the grocery store and a date for eating out. |

Monthly Challenges will be organized to help keep you on target. There will be mental and physical games to plan and prizes to win. Every day counts in this contest. Be ready to begin a healthier lifestyle from now til forever. |
